Contact

Our story? It’s a ‘golden ticket’ kind of narrative. We didn’t know it at the time, but we had something few did. Something that would change everything.

As a small team of animators in a full-service marketing agency, we produced informative videos for awareness campaigns and communication efforts. That was, until consumers began to value relationships over transactions.

In what felt like a sudden shift, their trust and loyalty would only come from authentic encounters with a brand.

As firms scrambled to deploy content marketing strategies and beef up their social media teams, we knew the best way to foster an emotional connection was with a well-crafted story. And in our biased opinion, there’s no better medium to share a story than animation. (Yep – our golden ticket.)

With every project, regardless of the goal and intended message, there was a story to be told. We just needed to find it. Clients were hooked. They began to see the value in sharing their story through animation. They wanted more, and we delivered - until the momentum and scale of the productions set the path for a new venture.

Birdtree Studio took flight.

We stepped outside the agency to become North Dakota’s first independent animation house. Rooted in storytelling and the belief in collective vision, Birdtree Studio became an outlet for local animators to focus on their craft.

Today, we challenge the traditional pipeline of rival studios, free of silos. Writers work alongside animators, compositors brainstorm with storyboard artists, and clients sit shoulder-to-shoulder with riggers and modelers. The whole team is engaged in the project from beginning to end because when everyone has a stake in the story, incredible things happen.
